Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, depending on availability.

Cancellation Policy • Single Reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance (by 11:59AM, two days in advance) with no penalty. Group Reservations are subject to contract terms. • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable. • Long-term bookings may be subject to different cancellation terms. • No show, no calls are charged in full. • Bookings for special events may have different cancellation terms. • Bookings for Red & White Weekend are non-refundable. • Management makes no assurance of amenities or features of the property beyond that which is described on the Rooms & Suites or Amenities pages. Damage Policy The Sonoran Desert Inn is an historic former school, part of the Ajo Historic Townsite and on the National Register of Historic Places. As a non-profit, we are stewards of this property and responsible for preserving it for decades to come. The Sonoran Desert Inn & Conference Center reserves the right to assess a fee of up to $500 if damages are found in a guest room upon check-out. Damages may include but are not limited to: evidence of smoking; use of candles, incense, mothballs, or anything else that leaves a discernible smell or visible damage in the room; damage from pets; ruined linens; and/or broken furnishings or equipment. By reserving and staying in one of our rooms, guests agree to this policy. Thank you for helping us maintain this special place!

Sonoran Desert Inn and Conference Center Dog Policy Some of our rooms are dog-friendly. Dogs under 75 pounds are welcome, with the exception of Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Doberman Pinschers. A maximum of two dogs are allowed in our dog-friendly rooms, no exceptions made. If you would like a dog-friendly room, please let our staff know when booking. There is an additional one-time $50 fee and a new Dog Form to fill out for dog-friendly rooms (fee is waived for registered service dogs). A few guidelines for guests with dogs: • Dogs must be leashed at all times on the grounds and are not allowed in event or dining spaces, except for service dogs. • Dogs may not be left in guest rooms unattended. • Dogs are not allowed on chairs or beds in guest rooms. • Please pick up after your dog. A fee will be assessed for any damage to furniture or guest rooms caused by guest dogs. Dog owners are also liable for any injury caused to guests or others by their dogs. No other pets are allowed except for dogs. No exceptions made. For those guests with allergies, we do have a select number of dog-free rooms available. You must let us know at the time of booking if you would like a dog-free room and we will do our best to accommodate these requests. While we do have rooms designated dog-free, we can not 100% guarantee that a dog has never entered. It is possible that a guest brought a dog into a dog-free room and did not disclose this fact, and as a result, a dog we never knew about was in a dog-free room. This is a violation of the policy outlined above. We also cannot guarantee that a vacuum that has been used to clean up dog fur has never been used in a dog-free room. If we do not have a pet-free room available and/or if your allergies are severe, we recommend you try La Siesta Motel,(http://ajolasiesta.com/) which as of Fall 2018 does not allow pets.
