Christmas Eve in Ajo, 2017

Come to Ajo for our lovely Christmas Eve celebration! See Santa appear in the Curley School tower and then ride to the Ajo Plaza in his sleigh. There, enjoy festivities and treats with hundreds of Ajoites of all ages (and former Ajoites, who return each year for this tradition!). The local Rotary club hosts the event, and gives out chocolates, oranges, and popcorn balls under a big illuminated Christmas tree. This is a sweet, small-town celebration that locals and visitors look forward to all year long.

There IS room at the inn! Last year we were full for a family reunion, but this year we have plenty of availability. Book today!

2018 40th Annual Old Time Fiddlers' Fest

This year marks the 40th Annual Old Time Fidders' Contest and Show.  Join fiddlers and fiddling fans for a weekend of wonderful music in the desert! The event features competitions for fiddlers of all ages, a free concert in the Ajo Plaza, meals, dances, a gospel sing-a-long, and good old-fashioned fun.

In this weekend workshop led by Dr. Lee Ann Woolery, participants will immerse themselves in the dramatic landscape of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, AZ and engage their creativity to study the Sonoran Desert. You will learn Art-Based Perceptual Ecology methods taught in collaboration with Western science methods to discover the place-based stories of the ancient desert landscape. This workshop is open to artists and scientists, practitioners, educators, and researchers.
